Secluded woodland landscape in Galloway, Scotland with rolling hills and natural surroundings

A Private Retreat in the Heart of Galloway

Hidden within the forests and hills of Southwest Scotland, Wild Galloway is a small retreat of just two architect-designed cabins set quietly in the landscape.

Surrounded by woodland, open hills and some of the darkest skies in Britain, Wild Galloway offers a rare kind of escape — a place where silence, weather and nature shape the rhythm of your stay.

Each cabin has been carefully positioned to sit within the landscape rather than dominate it. Timber, glass and natural materials frame long views across the Galloway hills, while large windows bring the changing light, mist and night skies indoors.

With only two cabins, privacy is complete. There are no neighbouring lodges, no crowds and no busy resort atmosphere — just space, quiet and the wild beauty of the Galloway hills.

Whether you are planning a romantic retreat, a quiet weekend away, or a longer luxury cabin stay in Southwest Scotland, Wild Galloway offers a rare opportunity to slow down and reconnect with the landscape.

Two Architect-Designed Cabins, Total Privacy

The two cabins — Oak and Hazel — were designed to sit lightly within the hillside. Their simple timber architecture reflects the colours and textures of the surrounding forest while large windows frame the shifting landscape throughout the seasons.

Inside, warm natural materials, wood burning stoves and carefully chosen interiors create a calm, comfortable space for slow mornings and long evenings.

Outdoor Living, Firelight and Dark Skies

Wild Galloway is intentionally small.

With only two cabins across the entire landscape, guests experience a level of peace and privacy rarely found in modern holiday accommodation.

It is a place for quiet stays, long walks, firelight and starlit nights.
